CAD Drafter

**Job Description**

We are currently seeking a CAD Drafter to join our Boart Longyear team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The CAD Drafter will work on drilling equipment projects in the mining and water well industry. The individual in this role will have responsibilities in several focus areas from new concept development through legacy drawing management.

**Responsibilities**

+ Create 3D models and technical drawings with modern CAD software

+ Execute design changes and updates with guidance from engineering

+ Maintain and revise legacy drawings and documentation

+ Participate in multidisciplinary design and build projects

+ Support documentation of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Hands-on experience with technical drafting and 3D modeling

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Exceptional attention to detail

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Familiarity with heavy equipment design, operation, and maintenance

+ Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and drawings

+ Understanding of machinery safety requirements and industry standards
