commercial sheet metal installer, up to $35/hr and $100 per diem Monday-Thursday 6:30-5pm OR 7-5:30 We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Installer to join a long-term project focused on installing sound barriers around facility equipment to minimize noise for neighboring companies. This role requires individuals who are comfortable with heights and have experience with sheet metal installation. The position involves working at an AWS data center from Monday to Thursday, with 10-hour shifts. An Amazon badge will be necessary for daily site access, and candidates must arrive with an ID on the first day. Responsibilities Install sound barriers around facility equipment. Utilize standard sheet metal tools such as grips, shears, snips, pliers/channel locks, sockets, clamps, screwdrivers, drills, and wrenches. Ensure safety and comfort when operating lifts. Work collaboratively with a team to meet project goals. Essential Skills Experience as a sheet metal installer. Mechanical aptitude and inclination. Comfortable operating lifts and lift certification. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA certification is a plus. Experience with HVAC, duct work, solar installations, and reading blueprints. Work Environment The role involves working at an AWS data center Monday through Thursday, with shifts lasting 10 hours each. The work requires using various hand and power tools in a construction setting. Safety is a priority, and appropriate training, including lift certification, is essential.
