Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the development of motion control and other system architectures, including component selection, control algorithms, integration, and feedback loops to meet application performance requirements
  • Drive control algorithm development and optimization (PID, feedforward, predictive control) targeting high-speed, high-accuracy applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to design, simulate, and validate integrated systems solutions
  • Work with suppliers and external partners on component and/or system-level development and integration projects
  • Ensure system design efforts align with technical roadmaps across multiple product lines. Contribute technical input to roadmap evolution based on emerging technologies and R&D learnings
  • Design and execute feasibility experiments using test fixtures/platforms to validate R&D concepts early in the development cycle and reduce technical risks
  • Define requirements, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware, electrical and/or software compatibility
  • Mentor junior engineers in systems engineering methodologies, interface and requirements definition. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence within the R&D team
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 12+ years of related experience; or master's degree with 8 years of related experience.
  • Hand-on skills in conducting lab experiments and building system prototypes
  • Works effectively in a cross-functional team environment and has strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.

Salary Ranges $ - $

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
