Meta is seeking a skilled Architect to lead the development of multimedia algorithms for Silicon Acceleration, with expertise in Imaging, Computer Vision, and Graphics. Key responsibilities include creating software models and bit-accurate specifications for hardware acceleration, with a focus on power and performance optimization. Augmented Reality Silicon Accelerators Algorithms Architect Responsibilities
Solve end-to-end problems in image processing across Camera, Display, Computer Vision, and Graphics domains.
Invent and develop algorithms that integrate machine learning and traditional processing techniques, optimizing for high performance and low power consumption.
Develop software models, including functional and bit-accurate fixed-point models.
Collaborate closely with software teams across the stack to enable new features.
Support and guide silicon implementation teams in designing and verifying hardware accelerators.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
12+ years of experience in Imaging Algorithms, CV Algorithms, and/or Graphics
Proven track record of developing algorithms from concept to implementation in Silicon and/or Software
Proficiency in C++/C programming languages, including fixed-point implementation
Experience with performance analysis and optimization modeling
Background in both classic and ML algorithms, as well as experience in developing pixel processing algorithms and optimizing imaging pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or related fields
Experience developing algorithms for acceleration in Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality or Mobile application processors
