Position Description:
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our Industrial group on projects across the region and beyond! The Project Engineer will assist with schedule updates, subcontractor coordination, cost tracking, and administrative functions while gaining exposure to complex industrial environments such as manufacturing, distribution, and mission-critical facilities. This is a travel-based position focused on delivering complex industrial projects, including manufacturing and food & beverage facilities, as well as mission-critical data centers.
Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in overall project execution
Assist with updating project schedules and communicating changes to subcontractors and Owners
Learn and apply basic knowledge of project financials, including cost books and change orders
Review and assist with the development of subcontracts and subcontractor change orders
Manage administrative project tasks including RFIs, submittals, and pricing/change order support
Gain exposure to contract language and Owner requirements
Develop solutions to improve project performance and execution
Understand and support compliance with PARIC and project-specific quality standards
Communicate consistently with internal teams, subcontractors, and key external stakeholders
Promote and support a zero-incident safety culture through understanding of OSHA and company protocols
Mentor project interns and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Apply PARIC Core Values throughout all phases of project support.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in construction or project engineering.
Basic understanding of construction sequencing, build processes, and project administration.
Familiarity with scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction document management.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and construction financial processes.
Knowledge of contract requirements and construction safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with subcontractors, superintendents, and internal teams.
Exposure to risk assessment and mitigation planning in construction environments.
