THE JOB: We're on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Entertainment Carpenter Tech to join the team at Excalibur. In this hands-on role, you'll support the magic behind the scenes, working closely with the Production Manager to keep our sets, stages, and scenery running like clockwork. If you've got a sharp eye, steady hands, and a passion for live entertainment, this is your chance to help shape the show - one perfectly placed piece at a time. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest's experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us. THE STARTING RATE: $39.55/ Per Hour THE DAY-TO-DAY: Build scenery, props, and other items as directed, and learn to run show cues Support rehearsals and trainings as needed by the department head, artistic team, or stage management Take part in department safety checks, keep inspection records updated, and always follow safety rules and attend required safety and rescue training Write down any repairs and help document equipment, supplies, and procedures to keep everything running smoothly Help clean and maintain the theatre, showroom, shop, and warehouse Operate forklifts or similar equipment when needed THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Must be 18 years of age or older Two (2) years of previous experience as a Stage Carpenter required Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays Experience working with livestock animals preferred Working knowledge of metal fabrication skills, theatrical rigging hardware and techniques, cabinetry construction, and scenic painting preferred Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Free meals in our Excalibur employee dining room Free parking on and off-shift at all MGM Resorts properties Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development opportunities through employee programs and network groups Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION: Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
