Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer/Designer position include: 6+ years (or equivalent experience/co-ops) in mechanical design and product development, especially consumer products Strong 3D CAD modeling skills using any major platform (SolidWorks, Inventor, Onshape, etc.) Focus on gears, mechanical motion, tolerancing, and physical prototyping Experience with plastics, metal forming, and material selection for product manufacturing Comfortable working hands-on with 3D printing, machining, and rapid prototyping tools Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical engineers, industrial designers, manufacturers) Prioritize function, form, and manufacturability in every design No project management requiredfocus is 100% on creation and design innovation Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
