Design and Construction Project Manager

Under the oversight of the Director of Maintenance & Infrastructure Projects, the Design and Construction Project Manager is responsible for all efforts associated with successfully overseeing and directly managing multiple University construction projects. This includes all aspects of project management during the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases of the project life cycle. This position is required to collaboratively interface with a variety of stakeholders including senior administrators, staff, faculty, students, colleagues from the CSU Chancellors Office, representatives for agencies having jurisdiction including those at the Federal, State and local level, along with various professional consultants, contractor and vendors.

The Maintenance & Infrastructure Projects unit of Facilities Development & Operations provides services to a University campus spread across five sites comprised of +170 acres, 52 buildings, and more than six million gross square feet. In addition to the Director, the unit employs four full-time permanent staff (whose efforts are integrated with the Physical/Capital Planning & Real Estate and Major Design & Construction Projects teams) and utilizes several architects, engineers, and consultants in the delivery of services to the campus.
