HVAC/R Service Technician - $125K range DOE 2K sign on Bonus
The ideal candidate will have mid-to-high-level expertise in HVAC systems, with a strong focus on chiller systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a full-service mechanical contractor focusing on commercial, industrial and institutional customers where you will play a critical role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various HVAC systems.
Chiller Mechanic HVACR Technician duties and responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on various HVAC systems, with a focus on large-scale chiller systems.
- Install, maintain, and service HVAC equipment in commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to effectively complete work orders.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
- Provide recommendations for equipment replacements, upgrades, and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and installations through detailed reports.
- Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship or guidance to junior technicians when needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
- Journeyman-level HVAC technician with 5+ years experience
- 5+ years hands-on chiller experience, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance preferred willing to train
- Experience with Hydronic/steam boilers
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles.
