Purpose: Actively promotes a work environment within the Supply Chain Department that consistently delivers a World Class Experience while safely and efficiently delivering aggregates from local suppliers to the Lauren Concrete plants and other locations as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Transport aggregates and other materials to plants and other locations
- Display a positive attitude, a professional appearance and demeanor on all jobs with all customers, both internally and externally
- Confirm retrieval site address prior to departure
- Maintain a clean truck interior and exterior
- Responsible for the process of loading, handling, delivering and unloading of the product
- Perform pre-trip inspections: clean windshield, side windows, mirrors and cameras each time before leaving the plant or job site, check for fluid leaks, and consult Driver Vehicle Inspection Report notebook
- Must meet all DOT regulations and qualifications
- Understand and/or knowledge with operation of Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
Other Functions

- Support a positive and productive work environment and demonstrate a positive example for others

- CFR 391.11(b)(2), General qualifications of drivers, states that a driver must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
Ability
- Report to work on time and on a regular basis
- Represent Lauren Concrete in a professional manner in a variety of settings and circumstances

- Ability to lift 45 70 lbs. several times a day
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to obtain a valid medical examiners certificate
Education/Experience
- One to three years of similar or related experience
- Valid State of Texas drivers license required along with a violation-free Department Motor Vehicle record, valid automobile liability insurance policy that meets or exceeds required limits of liability coverage
- Possess a current Commercial Drivers License (minimum class A)
- Must be the age 21 or older
