HVAC Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry advancements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and provide effective solutions.
+ Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure HVAC systems are operating efficiently.
+ Replace or repair defective components, such as motors, thermostats, and compressors.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
+ Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about HVAC systems.
+ Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and inventory management.
+ Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
+ Assist journeyman technicians with delivery, installation, and troubleshooting of heating and cooling equipment.
+ Assist with power vacuuming of furnace systems, cleaning up job site, and lifting/moving units.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or HVAC certification preferred.
+ Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on residential systems.
+ Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and customer service skills.
+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
+ EPA certification is ideal.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 6+ months experience or familiarity with heating, cooling installation, electrical, or construction skilled labor/mechanical aptitude.
+ Comfortable bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 100+ lbs as needed with team members.
+ Knowledge of tools such as Impact Drill, Sawzall, Wire Strippers, lighted level, Phillips and flat screwdriver, 8 oz hammer, drywall saw, Malco bit, 4 bit adapter for impact drill, headlamp or flashlight, channel locks.
+ Skill in HVAC, electrical, troubleshooting, repair, installation, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC system, Pro-Press, soldering, HVAC service, HVAC installation, EPA, mechanical, preventive maintenance, sheet metal, air conditioning, install, service.

**Work Environment**
Work in a team-oriented environment that is very busy and dynamic. Once trained, you will be required to take on-call shifts every six weeks, for which you will be compensated. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, with opportunities for additional hours due to new projects. You will be paired with a journeyman technician and may begin your day either at the job site or the shop address. The dress code includes jeans, work boots, and work-appropriate t-shirts, which will be provided. Must have basic hand tools.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
