Geotechnical Project Manager

Calling All Mid-Level Geotech's (48 Years Experience, or PM Level 8++ years!)

License: EIT Required; PE Preferred

Were looking for a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to lead subsurface investigations, guide junior engineers, and ensure top-tier geotechnical design and inspection services.

What You'll Do

• Develop comprehensive scopes of work and technical proposals.
• Review and interpret complex geotechnical design analyses, including:
  • Allowable bearing capacity
  • Settlement and consolidation
  • Slope stability
  • Deep foundation and support of excavation systems
  • Site-specific seismic and liquefaction evaluations
• Manage and mentor junior staff during subsurface investigations.
• Evaluate and synthesize field and lab data to produce engineering reports aligned with NYC Building Code and IBC-based standards.
• Conduct Special Inspections for:
  • Deep foundation testing and installation
  • Subgrade and controlled fill verification
  • In-place density testing
  • Underpinning and excavation support systems

What You Bring

• Education: Bachelors in civil engineering (required)
• Experience: 48 years in geotechnical engineering
• Licensing: EIT required; PE license preferred or on track
• Technical Skills:
  • Geotechnical software: Slide, LPile, PLAXIS
  • AutoCAD for plan and profile reviews
  • Familiarity with NYC codes and inspection protocols
• Certifications: OSHA 10/30/40

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
