Pump Station Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pump Station Superintendent with extensive knowledge and experience in pump station construction. The ideal candidate will have more than six years of experience working in pump station builds, particularly in deep foundation and wastewater management. This role requires expertise in working 30 feet underground in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and schedule preventive maintenance and repair activities for pumps, generators, and control panels.
  • Participate in capital improvement planning and attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex issues.
  • Oversee staff development, training, and performance management.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and expenditures.
  • Assign and prioritize work activities.
  • Estimate materials and costs for projects, evaluate resource needs, and ensure efficient deployment.
Essential Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of construction, electrical, and civil construction.
  • Experience in project oversight, operations management, and quality assurance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, civil, safety, and rebar construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
  • 35 years of supervisory experience in pump station or utility operations.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to pass compliance checks.
  • Certifications in emergency management and traffic control (e.g., NIMS, VDOT) within one year of employment.
Work Environment

The role is based on-site with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Weather conditions may vary, and the position involves working in various conditions. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
