JOB SUMMARY
Primary responsibility for leading the development and implementation of National sourcing strategies for labor and materials in key categories including, but not limited to designing and implementing supply solutions that deliver labor and materials at the lowest total cost and consistent with approved quality and delivery standards. Manages Purchase Pro Project implementation, maintenance and system enhancements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage development and implementation of purchasing strategies and National agreements related to assigned category labor and materials expenditures. Annual spend in assigned categories to exceed $100MM. Monitor and adjust such strategies to ensure continuous value improvement to PulteGroup.

  • Lead National contract alignment and coordination with all Areas, Zones and Divisions to assure competitive leverage.

  • Monitor and communicate performance issues, price and product changes and strategy-impacting variables to the organization.

  • Design and develop supply solution strategies to reduce cycle time, eliminate waste, standardize practices and reduce costs through value engineering and should cost methodologies.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive standards for "should costing", analytical tool application and systems.

  • Develop specification and option solutions in assigned categories for all new product plan offerings.

  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Interior Design, Legal, Risk, Finance, Zones and Divisions

  • Lead Purchase Pro expert council comprised of key stakeholders focused on driving consistent system utilization, best practice sharing and data optimization

  • Generate project timelines to drive agreed upon decisions and develop an audit process to ensure compliance

  • Determine future enhancements needed to support the business requirements

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides input to employee's performance evaluations.

  • Assists in the identification of internal and external training opportunities.

  • Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors).

  • Budgetary Responsibility: No budget responsibility but has authority to negotiate and execute large national vendor/supplier contracts on behalf of PulteGroup, Inc.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction, or equivalent or equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Related Functional Experience: Minimum 5 years

  • Time in position: Minimum of 3 years at a Sr. Agent or Manager Level

  • Typical Travel 50%: 2-3 days per week typical with some 5-day travel weeks

  • Preferred experience: Division Procurement experience, multi-division experience a plus, field construction experience a plus

  • Location: Atlanta, GA or Division Office or Remote
