Job Description
To provide daily electrical preventive maintenance service to all school facilities pertaining to air conditioning, heating, lighting, and cafeteria equipment, repair small electrical tools and repair of scoreboards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or hold a GED Certificate or have experience in the field of work.
Basic knowledge of
Have an acceptable driving record to standards developed by the Department of Public Safety and the Education Agency (10-point system).
Possess or be able to acquire a D.L. license and a school bus driving certification within a specified time.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Have an acceptable driving record to standard developed by the Department of Public Safety and the Education Agency (10-point system).
Experience in field of
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Familiar with the National Electrical Code Book.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Basic knowledge of electricity.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
To assist in maintaining electrical services, and to repair, remove and relocate services in District facilities.
To maintain safety standards when operating
To work cooperatively with other departments in maintaining school
To requisition and order in prescribed manner, parts and supplies needed for repair of equipment.
Substitute driving for bus drivers when
To perform other duties assigned by
EQUIPMENT USED:
Uses power tools, hand tools, trencher, scaffolds, air tools, step ladders, jack hammers, shovel.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands:
Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, some stooping, bending, kneeling.
Environment:
Work outside and inside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders.
