Welder and Fitter

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter who possesses the ability to interpret shop drawings, manuals, design specifications, blueprints, and both SAE and metric drawings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing standard shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure. You will utilize core welding and fabrication tools to weld, cut, and trim objects to specified dimensions as required by purchase or work orders. A strong understanding of basic shop tools and maintenance is essential, as is the ability to identify fabrication materials and inspect both raw materials and finished products for conformance to specifications. Effective communication and organizational skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities:
Read and interpret shop drawings, manuals, design specifications, and blueprints.
Perform arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Utilize core welding and fabrication tools to complete tasks according to work orders.
Identify and select appropriate fabrication materials.
Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Communicate effectively and organize tasks efficiently.
Apply attention to detail and precise measurement in tasks.
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills independently.

Essential Skills:
2 years of fabrication experience.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and flux core.
Experience with sheet metal, press brake, stainless steel, and robotic welding.
Basic knowledge of welding processes and metal preparation.
Experience with hand tools, grinders, and other shop equipment.
Ability to use and read a tape measure accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of waterjet operation and CNC routing.
Forklift and rigging experience.
Experience working in a shop environment with an awareness of safety practices and procedures.

Work Environment
This full-time position is based in an indoor, well-lit manufacturing warehouse, working Monday to Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. The role may involve occasional travel.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Roseville, California.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr.
