What You'll Be Doing

• Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for heavy highway construction.
• Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to gather input and ensure bid completeness.
• Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
• Maintain historical cost data and contribute to estimating best practices.
• Participate in proposal preparation, bid reviews, and client presentations as needed.

What Are We Looking For

• Proficiency in estimating software and takeoff tools for heavy civil projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and crew-based production rates.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract language.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills across disciplines and levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

Work Environment This position operates in a dynamic office environment with occasional field visits to job sites. May involve extended hours during critical bid periods and periodic travel depending on project needs.
