Position Summary
The Construction Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily construction site operations, managing crews, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently, and maintaining quality control standards. The Foreman acts as the primary point of contact between field workers and management, coordinating labor, materials, and equipment to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily work of crew members and subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Plan and organize labor, materials, and equipment needs; ensure timely delivery and staging to maintain workflow.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies; conduct daily safety meetings and job site inspections.
- Review work for compliance with blueprints and specifications; address issues promptly to ensure quality craftsmanship.
- Maintain daily logs, submit reports on labor hours, material usage, and site conditions; communicate updates to Project Manager.
- Read and understand construction drawings to guide team activities and verify proper installation of components.
- Identify and troubleshoot project-related challenges to avoid delays and maintain construction timelines.

Specific Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 4+ years of construction experience; at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Prior residential or electrical construction experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Familiarity with residential construction materials and methods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of using construction technology (mobile apps, tablets, timesheet tools).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Walk, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced field setting; frequently exposed to construction site conditions including dust, noise, and uneven terrain.
