Transmission & Substation Construction Manager

Terms of Employment:
W2 Contract, 24 months
This position is onsite in Oakbrook Terrace IL.
Travel to job sites around the territory will be required.

Overview:
Our client is seeking a Transmission & Substation Construction Manager. The Construction Manager will provide oversight to the total scope of various projects, including safety, environmental, general knowledge of engineering/design, civil construction and electric construction.

Responsibilities:
Provide oversight to the total scope of various projects, including safety and environmental.
Possess general knowledge of engineering/design, civil construction, and electric construction.
Read and understand construction prints.
Work daily with construction crews, engineering firms, project management, and various ComEd internal work groups.
Interface with all levels of craft and management employees and leadership.
Drive to assigned work locations within northern Illinois.
Type daily reports and safety observations.
Use various computer applications.

Required Skills & Experience:
High school diploma and 10+ years of experience.
Transmission/Substation work experience.
Electric utility construction experience.
Strong leadership skills.
Must be able to work well with others.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effective time management skills.
Adept with computer usage.
