Job Description

AECOMs Water Business Line is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a Technical Lead role in Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) planning, modeling, design, and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal CSO projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with established AECOM CSO National practitioners who worked on authoring the CSO policy. This position to support clients in the Mid-Atlantic region and on select assignments in other geographies working on a diverse range of technically challenging CSO projects and programs.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead multi-discipline and complex CSO projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including working with collection system modeling team and interpreting modeling results to be used in planning and design of CSO projects.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
  • Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff, including collection system modelers.
  • Oversee and prepare engineering reports and documentation.
  • Conduct evaluations of concepts and alternatives to assess compliance with design standards and regulations
  • Lead the development and review of design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Provide construction administration support, as needed.
  • Support business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts.
  • Prepare engineering services proposals, fee estimates, and schedules.
  • Stay current on industry trends and advancements in design and engineering, particularly in areas related to the wet weather market (e.g., CSOs, SSOs, handling excess wet weather flow at WWTPs).
  • Participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid U.S. Drivers License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records Review.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater/conveyance consulting and engineering management.
  • Previous experience supporting business development activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be client-facing and lead a team.
  • Strong knowledge of CSO design codes, standards, and regulations.
Additional Information
  • This position requires occasional travel within PA and nearby states.
  • Relocation is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
