Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Carlisle, PA (Onsite at Client Site)

Type: 36 Month Contract
Per Diem: $184/day for 7 days/week

Job Summary
System One is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our clients site in Carlisle, PA. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects in the glass and heavy industrial sectors. The selected candidate will play a key role in mechanical and piping engineering efforts, collaborating within cross-functional teams to execute design and construction support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute various aspects of mechanical and piping engineering.
• Prepare and review specifications, technical bid evaluations, and project documentation.
• Assist in developing and monitoring schedules, estimates, and manpower forecasts.
• Support procurement, permitting, and subcontractor coordination.
• Interpret vendor data and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct squad checks of vendor and discipline-specific drawings.
• Prepare Scopes of Work and Construction Work Packages (CWPs).
• Develop contractor bid documentation packages.
• Support the improvement of internal engineering systems and workflows.
• Provide general mechanical engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably within the glass or heavy industrial industry.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with equipment design and conveyors.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
• In-depth understanding of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in a client-facing role is highly preferred.
• Onsite field or site experience is a plus.

Pay: $65 an/hour - $75 an/hour.
