Job Description: The Electrical Foreman manages the operations of the skilled electrical team assigned to the project. Ensure that work is installed in accordance with relevant codes and meeting budgets and scheduled dates, all while ensuring job quality and customer satisfaction are maintained at every stage of the project.

Job Duties:

  • Supervises skilled electrical field crew.
  • Coordinates assigned work with work of different trades, company departments, or other contractors while maintaining schedule and production.
  • Directs on-site team to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Serves as liaison with other departments.
  • Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
  • Assists in resolving construction problems: productivity, work interfaces, etc.
  • Monitors craft compliance with safety requirements; document and implement corrective measures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the electrical field in a commercial/industrial environment; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
  • Must multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to successfully supervise and direct a team of 10+ workers daily.
  • Extensive knowledge of all types of electrical codes and standards associated with electrical work.
  • Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).
  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to handle disruptions in stride with professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently in a commercial setting.

Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently. The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

May work with or around typical construction materials and chemicals requiring safety data sheet knowledge.
