Maintenance Electrician

Aerotek is hiring for I ndustrial Electrical Maintenance Technician Below is a short job description of the requirements. This client is in Lawrenceville VA and requiring to work a day shift schedule with 40-55 hours weekly. Expanded Duties & Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems, including motors, drives, relays, and control panels Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems (Allen Bradley, Modicon, etc.) and update ladder logic as needed Maintain and calibrate sensors, switches, and instrumentation used in automated production lines Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability Ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards, including proper lockout/tagout procedures Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs and upgrades Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and electrical systems Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions to restore operations Expanded Requirements: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment Strong understanding of AC/DC motor controls, VFDs, and industrial power distribution Proficiency with PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen Bradley preferred) Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their electrical interfaces Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent safety training is a plus Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
