Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with a specialization in finance / logistics to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP solutions to support financial and logistics processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP finance modules (such as FI, CO, and S/4HANA Finance) and/ or SAP logistics modules (MM, LIV, Inbound, Outbound, WMS) with experience in driving efficiencies within financial operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document financial business requirements, including the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, and controlling processes and/ or supply chain processes like procurement, inventory management, planning, sales, and WMS.
  • Configure, implement, and support SAP Finance (FI/CO, Asset accounting, Banking, internal orders, project systems) and/ or Logistics modules (such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM) modules to meet organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to identify process improvement opportunities and design integrated SAP solutions.
  • Provide functional expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cost controlling, and profitability analysis.
  • Prepare functional specifications for custom developments, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Lead and participate in testing activities, including test scenario creation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure effective adoption of SAP Finance solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues in financial systems, minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Stay informed about SAP innovations, financial regulations, and best practices to recommend system enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field; SAP certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant, with a focus on finance modules (FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance) and/ or Logistics modules (MM, WMS).
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting processes, including statutory reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls or Logistics processes.
  • Experience in at least 2 S/4 HANA implementation or conversion projects.
  • Proven ability to design and implement SAP solutions that align with business goals.
  • Experience in integrating SAP Finance with other modules and third-party systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance or Central Finance or SAP S/4 Logistics, WMS.
  • Familiarity with global financial operations, multi-currency environments, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
  • Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.

Travel:

  • No travel is required.
