Job Summary

We are looking for the Mechanical design engineer Upgrades who will be responsible for the development of the upgrade's products within the Powder Process and technology portfolio. Based on priority agreed in the upgrade roadmap, develop, maintain and improve the product over the whole life cycle in close collaboration with the product manager who leads the product specifications definition and with the technical product manager who is the technical responsible for the equipment. Strive to create robust solutions, designed for manufacturing and service, easy and safe to operate.

What you will do

As our Mechanical design engineer Upgrades you will;

  • Lead the upgrade developments for PP&T business stream including project management and system engineering role
  • Evaluate and propose technical solutions, decide best way forward with technical product manager, prepare and pass validation steps with appropriate governance
  • Do proper analysis and required tests to ensure safety, quality and performances.
  • Ensure requested deliverables creation as per product creation process, including drawings, BoM, technical documentation.
  • Maintain product during its lifecycle including end-of-life activities.
  • Ensure that feedback from all phases in the order implementation, including commissioning and warranty period, leads to improvements of the product.
  • Coach others on the upgrades

We believe you have

  • Education & Experience: Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the food or dairy industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CAD tools (preferably Autodesk Inventor & Vault), SAP ERP (BoM creation, codification, budget tracking), and MS Office.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of dairy/food production processes, hygienic design, and food safety regulations.
  • Engineering Methods: Familiar with development processes, FMEA, risk analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Cross-Functional Skills: Basic knowledge of electrical and automation systems is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, communication, and coaching abilities; fluent in English (French is a plus).
  • Personal Attributes: Innovative, curious, self-driven, flexible, business-minded, and results-oriented.
