Hydrovac Operator

Telecon is looking for a Hydrovac Operator to join our growing Civil Construction Team. This role is based out of our yard in Tacoma, Washington and surrounding area.

Working under the site supervisor, the Hydrovac Operator will assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses to support the project construction team. They will also be responsible for driving various types of vehicles and trucks to transport equipment to project sites.

This is a full-time position which includes weekly pay, Benefits, 401K matching as well as opportunities for growth!

This will be a 3 week on, 1 week off work schedule

Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 based on experience level

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

• Operate the Hydrovac truck while also maintaining the vehicle
• Transport cargo and/or equipment in a safe manner
• Complete the daily maintenance programs as per equipment specifications
• Use various equipment to move and install material according to project plans
• Complete Driver's logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• At least 2 years of experience operating a Hydrovac truck
• A valid CDL
• Fully trained in the operations and maintenance of the truck and comfortable trouble shooting and minor repairs in the field
• Comfortable around underground utility services
• Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencing
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Familiarity with DOT requirements
