Press Operator**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to interpret order specifications, perform set-ups, operate presses through production runs, and ensure quality maintenance and documentation. You will play a vital role in troubleshooting, training team members, and enhancing processes within our department.

**Responsibilities**

+ Interpret order specifications and special instructions.

+ Ensure all production materials are at press prior to set-up.

+ Inspect cylinders, plates, and other tooling/parts to ensure quality.

+ Perform two-color set-ups on assigned presses, including cylinder preparation, plate mounting, ink fountain and roller adjustments, loading supply rolls, splicing webs, setting impressions, and processing set-ups.

+ Operate assigned press through production run, performing adjustments and maintaining ink color.

+ Apply knowledge and skills in performing preventative/general maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective action.

+ Record and report all finished production and complete related documentation.

+ Train, assist, and support other team members in problem-solving and meeting department goals.

+ Continuously review current processes and identify improvement methods.

+ Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department.

+ Assist/support in other job functions within the process or company as needed.

**Essential Skills**

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ 2+ years of printing press operation experience.

+ Demonstrated experience operating flexographic presses.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

+ Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency using product overlay gauges and reading shop scales.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. by hand or with lift aids, and push, pull, and turn 150 lbs. with lift aids.

+ Ability to maneuver up to 1584 lbs. with a hand truck.

+ Ability to continuously stand, stoop, and bend.

+ Good vision, including color vision.

+ Ability to learn and demonstrate basic PC skills for production reporting.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience in machine operation, blueprint reading, and embroidery.

+ Proficiency in basic math calculations.

**Work Environment**

Join a global company dedicated to manufacturing and distributing materials for branding and packaging. Work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM in a relaxed environment with a casual dress code. Jeans, slacks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies are permitted, but steel-toed boots/sneakers are required. Please avoid baggy clothing or loose jewelry.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, New York.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
