Construction experience preferred, but, not required. WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON. Full or part time work. We are looking for career minded long term employees. Basic understanding and communication in the English language.
Responsibilities and Expectations: Greet customers when they first come in, ask if they need assistance Answer phones whenever possible. Keep showroom neat, change vignettes and displays periodically. Put samples back at the end of the day Assist builder customers with making selections Prepare selection sheet by including the following information: Manufacturer or supplier of materials o Style and style number o Color and color number o Drawings and/or design work Always ask retail customers if they would like to schedule a complimentary estimate Coordinate with a commercial salesperson to set up an estimate for the customer
Return calls promptly Arrive on time at appointments with customers Follow through with what you have promised your customer Take accurate measurements Bids for retail customers should be sent out within 2 days of the measure Maintain a signed contract with every job, make sure pricing is easy to understand and follow up Call on your builders weekly Create clear and precise work orders for every job Bill out jobs as soon as they are completed, also aware of builder cut-off dates to ensure timely payment Send out customer satisfaction cards to your builders Keep your vehicle clean and properly serviced Use the gas allowance only as stated in the Company Gas Card Guidelines. Turn in travel, entertainment and material receipts weekly Go over your work orders with installers or scheduler
Measure rooms and draw up specifications for carpet.
Remove and dispose of old flooring.
Lay out samples for selection.
Fasten a tackless strip to the floor.
Install the padded cushion.
Roll out, measure, mark, and cut the carpet.
Position the carpet and stretch it to fit.
Cut off excess carpet and frays.
Use power stretcher to stretch carpet to fit walls.
Hook it to tackless strip.
Finish edges with wall trimmer.
Join carpet sections together for large rooms.
Join sections using heat-taped seams.
Glue or staple carpet to the floor.
Utilize carpet-laying tools such as carpet shears, knee kickers, wall trimmers, loop pile cutters, heat irons, and power stretchers.
Correct imperfections in carpet.
Rip of soiled sections of carpet and replace with new swatch.
Sewing and binding
Moving some furniture
Ability to lift up to 100lbs or more
Driver's license in current good standing
Reliable transportation
Help load trucks
Help in the warehouse
