Anning Johnson Company in Hayward, CA is looking for Project Estimators. A qualified applicant will be gathering information and data and analyzing metrics in order to prepare correct and accurate estimations for civil engineering construction projects; Calculating the total costs associated with the construction of the projects; Developing competitive bids for potential construction projects; Performing quantity take offs; Reviewing bids offered by subcontractors in order to settle for the most cost-effective option; Analyzing, interpreting and understanding civil engineering requirements; Determining key engineering variables for cost and other estimates; Performing a risk analysis on the potential civil engineering project; Conducting research on offers from vendors and subcontractors; Negotiating civil engineering contract scope after project is awarded; Maintaining relationships with general contractors/developers and key vendors/sub vendors; Planning and monitoring projects efficiently; Liaising and analyzing with team members the conditions and processes that are necessary to reach the project objectives within the cost that has been projected; Implementing the use of relevant engineering software including OST, QB, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, StructionSite, AutoCAD, and Revit. and preparing required project reports and recommendations for management as required by the project. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and three year's experience in position or three year's experience in Construction Estimation or Construction Management field; and experience with OST, QB, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, StructionSite, AutoCAD, and Revit.
