1. Analyzes reports, calculations drawings and blueprints to plan and design projects for structural requirements. 2. Prepares/modifies reports and specifications to ensure conformance to engineering plans and construction. 3. Prepares stress analysis in order to design structure to meet estimated load requirements by computing size, shape and type of structure. 4. Does seismic and wind analysis for every element of structure designed. 5. Inspects projects under construction and recommends repair and/or replacement of defective areas. 6. Applies building codes to the plans/designs. 7. Uses computers and design software to prepare engineering and design documents. 8. All of the above duties must be reported to the supervisor of the project by applicant.
