Job Description:
Responsible for the design and development of automotive electronic modules and components, as well as customer liaison and inter-company coordination or new product design. Participates in new electronics product designs based on customer requests or internal development. Understands customer procedures and implements or adapts development to meet those requirements. Implements new designs into production by creating designs and following the entire development process. Assists the Quality Department in analyzing of warranty and other customer returns. Works in conjunction with leadership to develop long-range and short-range goals for self and department. Prepares product or system layout and detailed schematics/drawings as required. Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. Liaison with suppliers for quotes, specifications and samples. Updates / Maintains current Omron products through research and recommendation for improvement design opportunities of electronic modules and components. Verifying that all specifications are met. Supports / Implements the ISO14001 Environmental Policy as it pertains to work activities.
