Rubinos & Mesia Engineers in Chicago, IL is looking for Construction Engineers. A qualified applicant will be performing civil engineering design review and close-out for Force Account projects in accordance with policies and standards; Coordinating and communicating with team members and project stake holders for change orders, plan reviews and project schedules during the project duration; Ensuring compliance with design plans, specifications and permit requirements; Designing and producing plans and paperwork to temporarily and/or permanently remove and/or relocate impacted facilities; Preparing design drawings and calculations in accordance with design codes and manuals using AutoCAD, Autodesk Design Review, Primavera, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project; Reviewing design drawings and calculations with the company's licensed engineer supervisor; Notifying project stakeholders of all scope changes on and off-site; Ensuring site safety, including a verification of work and notifying the impacted teams of unsafe practices; Estimating cost of materials, equipment and/or labor to determine project feasibility; Providing technical assessments and value/benefit assessment for construction scope and plan reviews; Forecasting and generating technical construction solutions for the licensed engineer supervisor and management; Creating reports for the licensed engineer supervisor regarding project status, project issues and project outcomes; and Preparing close-out documents for completed projects. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and two years' experience in position or two years' experience in Civil or Construction Engineering field; and experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Design Review, Primavera and MS Project.
