Senior Mechanical Estimator Industrial Pre-Construction

Execution-Critical Experience:

Must have 5 10 years of heavy-industrial estimating within contractor environments or a bachelor s in Construction Management/Mechanical Engineering with 2 years industrial estimating experience. Expertise in process piping, structural steel, equipment setting, and civil scopes on projects up to $25 MM. Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob, Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, and advanced Excel cost-modeling is non-negotiable.

Pre-Construction-Centric Role:

Field-embedded pre-bid responsibilities include attending bid meetings, performing or validating quantity take-offs, building granular WBS/cost codes, issuing RFIs, and managing a minimum of three vendor/subcontractor quotes per trade. Generate cash-flow tables, resource-loading reports, and detailed schedules. Familiarity with welding procedures for stainless, chrome, Inconel, Hastelloy, HDPE, and PVC/CPVC is essential.

Leadership & Collaboration:

Mentor and review junior estimators; coordinate with Project Management & Field Operations, Procurement & Supply Chain, Safety & Quality, and Finance to ensure estimates reflect Loenbro s safety-first culture, meet margin targets, and translate seamlessly into execution.

Onboarding & Flexibility:

On-site for the first three months in Casper, WY; Billings, MT; Westminster, CO; or Johnstown, CO, then remote/hybrid thereafter. Valid driver s license (21+) required for company vehicle operation.
