MEP Electrical Design Engineer

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with 5-10 years of MEP design experience to join a respected engineering consulting firm supporting mission-critical projects across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. This hybrid role offers flexible hours (with core work hours being 9 AM-3 PM), paid overtime, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects in the life sciences and technology sectors. Responsibilities for the MEP Electrical Design Engineer Include: Design and develop electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and load calculations in compliance with codes and standards Collaborate with mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure integrated MEP designs Support cost estimating and documentation for project proposals Attend client meetings to review progress, resolve technical issues, and explore future opportunities Qualifications for the MEP Electrical Engineer Include: BSEE preferred; BSME/BSAE still considered PE license or on track Experience with cleanroom design and life sciences infrastructure Revit MEP or AutoCAD experience is a plus Compensation for the MEP Electrical Design Engineer Includes: Salary range approx. $100,000-$150,000 annually (based on experience) Annual bonuses + merit-based raises Comprehensive Benefits : Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and Sick Leave as required by law Interested or know someone who might be?
