We're scheduling paid 4-hour trial shifts starting Tuesday next week at $20/hour. It's a great way for us to see your skillsand for you to see if this kind of creative, hands-on work is a good fit. About the Role: We're a small, fast-moving team that builds fully themed vacation homes from the ground up. Every project is differentone day you might turn a bedroom into a castle, the next you could be installing secret doors, themed bunk beds, or smart home devices. We're looking for a Creative Handyman to help bring a new themed home to life in Big Bear. This is perfect for someone who loves building, works efficiently, and thrives in a project-based environment where no two days are the same. What You'll Do: Assemble and modify furniture Mount TVs, shelves, decor, and artwork Install and configure smart home gear (locks, cameras, thermostats) Perform light electrical work (e.g., ceiling fans, outlets, fixtures) Run wiring for lights and other devices Tackle light carpentry (cutting/modifying wood, using saws, etc.) Help execute creative builds based on the home's unique theme Assist with outdoor setups (e.g., play structures, patio features) You Should Be Comfortable With: Using hand tools and power tools (drills, saws, levels, etc.) Problem-solving and figuring things out on the go Switching between different tasks throughout the day Working efficiently without compromising on quality Handling basic electrical work safely Bonus Experience (Not Required, But Nice to Have): Low-voltage wiring (LED strips, AV gear, etc.) Soldering for custom lighting or electronics Creative builds, custom decor, or artistic installations Requirements: Reliable car to get to the Big Bear site Owns basic tools (drill, screwdriver, level, etc.) Dependable, efficient, and self-motivated Enjoys hands-on, creative work Moves quickly and likes getting things done What We Offer: A fun, creative work environment with unique projects Opportunities to work on memorable, themed spaces Potential for future work on other builds Direct pay via 1099 How to Apply: No resume needed.
