Fabricator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team and contribute to a new production line. In this role, you will read blueprints and assemble machines and products, aligning materials and setting them according to specifications. You will be responsible for cutting, shaping, welding, bending, and repairing components, primarily focusing on tube fabrication, structural welding, and fabrication of thick wall tubing. Responsibilities Read blueprints and put machines/products together for a new production line. Cut, shape, weld, bend, repair, or join components using tools like hammers, pry bars, jacks, wedges, etc. Check measurements and dimensions with rulers, measuring tapes, or squares. Place product components in their appropriate spots for proper alignment. Identify spots to cut and manipulate materials such as steel or plastic. Use furnaces or hand torches to heat materials for easier manipulation. Review blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate completion of fabrication processes. Maneuver fabrication machines such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters. Create templates for repetitive tasks to maintain work quality standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in fabricating sheet metal and operating fabrication machines. Experience in welding, mechanical assembly, and blueprint reading. Ability to use Mig welding techniques and plasma cutting. Skill in cutting, shaping, and bending metal. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma Why Work Here? Work hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a half-hour lunch break. The team is open to additional hours if business volume increases. The environment is conducive to productivity and innovation. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
