Purpose of the Role The Procurement Contract Specialist II plays a key role in supporting Worley’s commitment to delivering sustainable change by managing the development, negotiation, and administration of contracts related to services, equipment, and materials. This role supports the execution of complex energy, chemicals, and resource projects by ensuring that contractual and commercial obligations are met with integrity, compliance, and value creation. As a proactive member of the project delivery team, the Procurement Contract Specialist II helps to maintain continuity across procurement cycles, strengthen supplier relationships, and drive innovation and efficiency through well-managed commercial engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of contract administration procedures that support project requirements and align with Worley’s sustainability goals.
Identify, prequalify, and engage qualified contractors and service providers who support the execution of consulting, specialty, and construction-related services.
Prepare and administer contracts for goods and services, ensuring alignment with project objectives, risk mitigation strategies, and commercial terms.
Support and participate in contract negotiations, ensuring that terms and conditions reflect the scope of work, schedule requirements, and legal and commercial standards.
Monitor contractor and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, delivery milestones, and quality expectations.
Provide timely documentation and internal approvals to support invoice processing and ensure accurate financial reporting and payment execution.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across project teams, engineering, legal, finance, and supply chain to manage interfaces throughout the contract lifecycle.
Contribute to the preparation of proposals, reports, and presentations to support internal governance, project planning, and customer engagement.
Identify process improvements and provide input to refine procurement strategies, tools, and practices to improve value delivery and operational efficiency.
Support sustainability-related initiatives by embedding responsible sourcing and ethical procurement principles into supplier selection and contract administration processes.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract negotiation, or commercial administration within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
Solid understanding of contract management principles, procurement procedures, and risk mitigation strategies across the full contract lifecycle.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while applying sound judgment and critical thinking in resolving complex contract and procurement issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and influence internal and external stakeholders.
Comfortable working in dynamic project environments where adaptability, accountability, and initiative are key to success.
Proficient in using procurement and contract management systems and tools; able to support troubleshooting and data reporting requirements.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing documentation, deadlines, and multiple priorities across concurrent projects.
