Weld Set Up Operator

Weld Set-Up Operator We are seeking experienced weld set up operator for a well-established manufacturer in Angola. This company specializes in producing retail display shelving and custom wire products using both MIG and robotic welding technology. This is a 60-Day Temp-to-Direct opportunity. Upon direct hire, employees become eligible for a robust benefits package, pay increases, and performance incentives.
Pay Range: $18$19 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weld Set-Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up welding equipment and fixtures according to blueprints and specifications to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, be comfortable with measuring tools, and have previous set-up experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams
• Use a tape measure and other measuring tools accurately
• Set up welding equipment, jigs, and fixtures for production
• Ensure correct positioning and alignment of parts for welding
• Perform basic quality checks to ensure setup accuracy
• Work collaboratively with welders, fabricators, and supervisors
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety and operational procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience with weld set-up required
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
