Network Construction Manager (Small Cell & Fiber)

We are looking for a highly motivated Network Construction Manager to oversee small cell and fiber deployment projects across Georgia. This field-based role involves daily site visits, contractor coordination, and quality control for aerial and underground fiber builds. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with small cell infrastructure, fiber construction, and the ability to manage project execution from design review through completion. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all construction activities for small cell and fiber deployment projects.
  • Conduct site design assessments, take field measurements, upload documentation, and maintain detailed daily progress reports.
  • Coordinate and inspect underground and aerial fiber installation including splicing, testing, and restoration.
  • Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and contract terms.
  • Participate in make-ready rides and post-construction site visits with utility partners.
  • Handle material procurement, power ordering with utility companies, drawing approvals, change orders, and budget control.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation: site photos, as-builts, inventories, incident reports, and CRM system updates.
  • Provide support during major outages or sensitive network issues requiring onsite presence.


Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in small cell and fiber construction (not tower-related).
  • Strong understanding of underground and aerial fiber construction practices, splicing, and testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and splice documentation.
  • Experience conducting independent field assessments and quality control inspections.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel throughout Georgia (and Florida as needed).
  • Comfortable working in outdoor construction environments 90% of the time.

  • Small cell deployment and OSP/ISP fiber construction, RF troubleshooting and testing tools (OTDR, PIM, Sweep), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio), Google Earth, Adobe Acrobat, field audits, strand mapping, and photo documentation, project tracking systems (Microsoft CRM preferred)
