The Position

Oversee and manage the planning, execution and completion of technology-related projects, to include leading and building multi-disciplinary project teams comprised of representatives from a function and/or cross-functional teams to support multi-site activities for complex projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, meet the defined requirements and remain within budget, through managing resources, coordinating teams, mitigating risks and ensuring effective communication. Provide IT portfolio management support by prioritizing and ensuring alignment with organization goals.

Essential Functions

  • Capable of managing cross-functional, multi-site activities for a portfolio of complex projects to drive completion in alignment with set project timelines & budget
  • Identify internal and/or external customer requirements, evaluate, and optimize time & resources to carry out the various stages of the project
  • Supervise and coordinate the organization, planning, and technical implementation of the project activities of all stakeholders in alignment with project timelines & budget
  • Differentiate oneself by leveraging diversity and being agile in ones thinking, assessing risk, solving problems, and generating new solutions for our customers
  • Compile and maintain up-to-date project plans, to include identifying and capturing new scope via proposals or change orders
  • Manage the project timeline(s) and related communication(s) to ensure key milestones are achieved
  • Track project activity progress against the defined project plan and notify relevant stakeholders of changes, potential delays, and/or issues
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities as assigned

Physical Requirements

100% work scheduled based on-site at Bloomington, Indiana facility. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, talking, writing, listening. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, grasping. Must comply with EHS responsibilities for the position. Working conditions will be heating ventilation and air condition controlled. Safety procedures must be followed to minimize exposure, including clean room gowning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field of study from an accredited university required with a minimum of (2) years of IT project management, project support or change management experience required, preferably in a GxP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • In lieu of a Bachelors Degree with two (2) years of experience required, may consider an Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of four (4) years of IT project management, project support or change management experience required, preferably in a GxP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • In lieu of a Bachelors Degree with two (2) years of experience required, may consider High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six (6) years of IT project management, project support or change management experience required, preferably in a GxP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Subject Matter Expert knowledge to support project team leader expectations with excellent negotiation, time management & conflict resolutions skills preferred
  • Excellent technical writing & oral communication skills preferred
  • Excellent presentation & facilitation skills preferred
  • Capable of establishing & communicating high standards & expectations for performance & holding team members accountable for results preferred
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization within a complex, matrixed environment preferred
  • Able to operate with a high level of autonomy & authority preferred
  • Strong analytical/reasoning, assessment, judgement, decision-making, organizational & multi-tasking skills preferred
  • Expert in cGMP documentation practice & understanding of change control processes preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning/organizing, managing execution, checking results, & revising the work plan for complex problem resolution by cross functional teams preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements required
