Job Overview

We are seeking a new Transportation Design Engineer to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Transportation Design Engineer, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our clients ever-evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Chicago, IL location and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.

Key Responsibilities

+ Design and plan implementation for roadway, municipal streets, and highway projects

+ Use of manuals, guides, standards and sound engineering judgement to provide infrastructure solutions on transportation projects.

+ Prepare design computations and quantity estimates

+ Develop probable construction cost estimates for projects

+ 3D Modeling design and layout of roadway and highway plans

+ Assist with the composition of plan and submittal documents including specifications, memos and reports.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited program

+ 1-3 years of experience

+ EIT or the intention of taking the FE exam within 6 months

+ Proficiency in OpenRoads and ProjectWise

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam and/or Adobe

+ Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms

+ Have great organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Advanced degree(s)

+ EIT certification

Salary Range: $72,800-$81,120, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicants education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
