Role Description: As a Structural Engineer you will play a key role in developing structural designs from initial layout through final analysis. Your responsibilities will include 3D modeling, clash detection, design analysis, and member sizing, all in close collaboration with the Project Manager, project team members, and Director of Engineering. You will also be responsible for meeting internal milestones and external deliverables, participating in site visits and project meetings, attending internal coordination huddles, and ensuring all work complies with applicable building codes and standards.
Essential Functions
Perform and coordinate the structural design of assigned projects under the guidance of the Project Manager
Conduct structural analysis and design for the renovation and retrofit of existing buildings
Develop layouts and design concepts for new building structures
Gather and interpret field data, and prepare structural evaluation reports based on site assessments
Collaborate with BIM Designers to produce accurate and detailed structural construction drawings and documentation in Revit
Support Project Managers during the Construction Administration phase, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting construction quality site inspections
Measure success through the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of assigned responsibilities

Required Experience
Minimum bachelor's degree required in Civil or Structural Engineering
Need E.I.T and ability to become licensed as a Professional Engineering, PE, within two years.

Working knowledge and project experience using steel, concrete, wood and masonry materials
Experience detailing gravity framing systems and lateral wind/seismic resisting systems

Increasing competency in AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, Navisworks, and Building Information Modeling
Knowledge of structural analysis software packages (RISA, Etabs, Woodworks, etc.)
Basic understanding of design/building codes, including AISC, ACI 318, IBC and ASCE 7
Background:
Preference for experience as a Structural Engineer in the United States.
Experience with structures (i.e. Buildings), not just roads and bridges
