PJ Dick, Inc ., one of the premier general contractors and construction managers in the Mid-Atlantic region, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its vertical construction team in the State College, Pennsylvania area to help manage a growing list of projects.

What the Role Involves:
At the direction of the project manager, you will assist with overall management for an assigned project and help plan, organize, and staff key field positions . You will m aintain relationships with subcontractors and A/E contacts to help facilitate construction activities; m onitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures; monitor compliance with company's safety program .

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Educational and experience requirements include: four-year engineering degree or equivalent plus three or more (3+) years of experience/knowledge of vertical construction; u nderstanding of technical plans, specifications, design elements and reports specific to construction of commercial building structures; e xperience with structural and design analysis, cost estimating, and pre-project planning by preparing construction schedules, submittal schedules, meeting schedules, etc.; s uperior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential .
