  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am-4pm, Friday 6am-3pm (occasional overtime)

Position Summary:

This position works all CNC Operator needs within his area and with other team members to complete projects according to company standards and project schedules. This position demonstrates Anton Cabinetry's commitment safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operational ability of CNC routers, beam saw, edge bander, dowel machines, drum sander, table saw, planer and molder. (may include ordering materials or tooling needed)
  • Assists with reviewing production packages/blueprints then plans the production process to achieve quality, productivity and on-time standards.
  • Applies Continuous Improvement principles to decrease cycle times and setup times.
  • Responsible for implementation and sustainment of 5S activities.
  • Complete assigned work with by completion dates and priorities.
  • Adhere to safety practices and ensure proper use of all tools and machinery.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties & Requirement:

  • E xperienced with woodworking machinery.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, climb ladders and scaffolding , and move from location to location.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items up to 150 pounds and regularly lift/move items up to 75 pounds.
  • Think creatively; understand, read, write and speak English; read blueprints and other architectural drawings.
  • Ability to see and hear is required .
  • Basic mathematical principles including but not limited to: addition, subtraction, the ability to read a tape measure and calculate fractions.
  • Work extended hours to meet deadlines may be necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task, tolerate and manage changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective attention to detail .
  • Multi-task and effectively communicate with team members; research, evaluate, and recommend alternatives.
  • Ability to learn and understand continuous improvement Lean principles and use these tools to recommend and implement process improvements.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Woodworking machinery experience is required .
  • Effectively communicate with variety of individuals across organizational levels in person, telephonically and in writing.

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and good knowledge of woodworking manufacturing quality improvement processes.
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency

Desired Experience, Training, or Education:

  • 3 years' minimum hands-on experience as CNC Operator with cabinetry or millwork experience.
  • Lean manufacturing principles (5S, A3, Standard Works) in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Construction and/or woodworking vocational training.
