Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a world-leading manufacturer of industrial gases, has an opportunity for a Site Supervisor responsible for our Winnemucca, NV onsite plant. Site Supervisors are responsible for all phases of operation for a single Oxygen Generator servicing the Gold Mining Industry, located Golconda, NV.

Site Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities:

You will be required to understand all aspects of the sites responsibilities including safe execution of plant operation, plant maintenance, process and operational solving, customer interface and communications with a specific focus on leadership and operating skills for these facilities.

This site is currently operated and maintained by two site supervisors and a qualified local contractor as needed. You will be trained by seasoned Operations Technicians and Process Engineers. These plants will have remote access including remote troubleshooting, remote operations, and alarm management while not on site. The plant is located at the customer site. Successful candidate will be required to support an additional two-man team at the Elko, NV site also located in Northern Nevada.

To be successful, you must be safety conscious, self-motivated, a good communicator and possess good organizational, operating and mechanical proficiency, leaning toward instrumentation and electrical skills, coupled with wrenching-n-fitting abilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Commitment to safety including Basic Safety Performance (BSP) compliance and process safety management.
• A strong commitment to Environmental awareness and management, including reporting and compliance as required by the Customer.
• Promotion and support of customer relations through effective communications, working with customers operations team and the Air Product support teams.
• Completion of all administrative responsibilities for this site.
• Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including on-call responsibilities. The on call will be shared and coordinated by the Supervisors.
• Safe execution of day-to-day operating and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshooting plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating maintenance activities, handling some of the plant efficiency and plant projects.
• Preventative Maintenance and Critical System Checks with outside support scheduled as needed.
• Identifying maintenance concerns, developing and implementing corrective/preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets.
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• A proven track record of success in EH&S and Quality with examples of when and/or where these types of actions have been demonstrated.
• A self-starter with proven leadership abilities.
• Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the completed execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental, maintenance and engineering standards.
• Experience with operations in the field of air separation, fractional distillation processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are a plus to be successful in this position.
• Ability to work well independently with equal ability to work very effectively as a team.
• Proven computer skills.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant experience is a plus for this position however, not mandatory.

Work Hours:

• On call during off hours.
