Summary:

Seeking a Trade Ally Specialist (Administrative Support) to join our Utilities group in our Madison, Wisconsin office. Qualified candidates should have the aptitude to assist the engineering design team on the initial project set-up process and through the operations and scheduling duties. This includes processing commercial& residential service applications along with customer inquiries &project coordination. Necessary skills include strong computer and software aptitude, good organizational methods, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently. There is an opportunity for partial hybrid work once an individual has established an understanding of the process.

Responsibilities:

Monitor incoming applications and review for completeness of information

Communicate standard information to applicants regarding gas and electric service applications

Ensure that site plans are on file/received

Request MGE Energy Operations Administration to generate the required service orders and assign to MGE Engineering as appropriate

Handle high-volume phone communication, triage requests and connect clients with appropriate resources

Confirm on call tickets and ensure private locates are completed by applicant, when needed

Provide flexible support across departments as needed

Qualifications:

Must Have:

Ideal candidate will be a new graduate with a bachelors degree

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret schematic and wiring diagrams

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Ability to provide technical guidance and support to others

Ability to navigate and understand cross-departmental processing within MGE and document interaction

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
