Job Description

As a BIM Manager, you will lead our BIM implementation, ensuring seamless collaboration, data accuracy, and efficient project delivery. Youll play a pivotal role in shaping our digital workflows and driving innovation within the architectural and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage software products, including incorporating new version releases and customizing the product.
  • Oversee the implementation of supporting software for BIM and evaluate new BIM-related software and technologies.
  • Stay informed about other BIM-related software and their integration with Revit, including installation and support of related BIM software.
  • Manage BIM 360.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards.
  • Create and maintain software template files to ensure standards and automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity.
  • Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards.
  • Train and oversee the activities of the Revit specialist to ensure BIM standards are maintained.
  • Chair the companys BIM committee and create upgrade and deployment strategies for BIM implementation.
  • Evaluate the firm's strategies and project modeling, plan implementation of new applications, and solve issues through template creation, pilot projects, and staff training.
  • Demonstrate BIM success by evaluating established goals.
  • Provide internal Revit Architecture fundamental and intermediate training to staff.
  • Conduct internal continuing education Revit Architecture training sessions and provide technical orientation to new hires.
  • Test new hires' skills in BIM and maintain high competency through continued use and training.
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM, sharing learning with all teams.
  • Support project standards coordination and assist in project work including modeling and detailing.
  • Assist project teams in BIM project setup and create Revit Families in response to project needs.
  • Help resolve BIM design issues.
  • Support BIM technology needs of the office and troubleshoot problems.
  • Liaise with national teams and corporate IT staff, software developer support, and other support channels.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years production experience in design, drafting, or engineering.
  • In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project sheet setup.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 2 or 4-year degree, certification, or other from a college or trade school in Architecture.
  • 5+ years of BIM experience.
  • Advanced proven knowledge of Autodesk products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Revit, Construction document, building codes, multi-family construction administration, NYCHA, Design development, AutoCAD, existing conditions, project management.
  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture.
  • Multi-Family Experience.
  • Historic preservation and rehabilitation.
Work Environment

The work environment is open, modern, and collaborative, allowing team members to work both independently and together. The office is located in Suffern, NY, with the majority of projects based in NYC. The team is personable and laid back, and the role will start full-time in-office with a hybrid work policy (3-4 days in-office / 1-2 days from home). Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
