Line Mechanic Job Description This position is a dynamic combination of Maintenance Technician and Operator roles, focusing on line coverage in the assigned area. You will operate and maintain equipment to ensure high-quality product production. The role involves mentoring line operators, using team approaches for continuous improvement, and reinforcing safety, quality, and teamwork. Responsibilities Safely operate assigned equipment and maintain all line equipment. Mentor and coach line operators on maintenance and operational aspects. Initiate activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality products efficiently. Make adjustments and repairs during equipment operation. Setup, start-up, adjust, and operate equipment according to company standards. Perform start-of-shift walkthroughs and equipment checks. Coordinate with operators to maintain line operation through breaks. Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical concerns. Maintain and improve the integrity and performance of line equipment. Communicate with Maintenance and Production Leadership regarding maintenance activities. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and corrective work orders. Essential Skills Skilled Mechanic experience or comparable technical abilities. Ability to operate and maintain all equipment in the assigned area. Capability to train self and others on mechanical skills and problem-solving. Proficiency in computer skills and new maintenance technologies. Journeyman card holder preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with maintenance systems and SAP PM structure. Why Work Here?
