Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in estimating building materials, preferably in a lumberyard or construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with construction codes and regulations.
  • Experience using estimating software or tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans and specifications to determine material requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for building materials, including lumber, hardware, and other supplies.
  • Communicate with customers and contractors to clarify project needs and provide expert advice on material selection.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, orders, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to obtain pricing and availability information for materials.
