We are an established custom sign company (in southern California for almost 80 years!) looking for an experienced signage estimator to work with the owner to bid and win construction projects focusing on commercial signage.
Must have experience with reading architectural drawings, create estimates for commercial signage, ADA signs and painting. Experience with commercial construction companies, architect firms and/or sign companies preferred but not necessary.
Work is 90% remote. You will need own computer, software, internet and reliable transportation.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Signage Estimator to collaborate directly with the company owner to scope, estimate, and bid on commercial signage projects. This is a strategic role with a focus on winning construction bids through accurate estimating and clear communication with clients, architects, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural drawings and construction plans
- Prepare accurate estimates for a range of signage types including exterior/interior signs, ADA signage, and painting
- Assist in project scoping, value engineering, and proposal development
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and project managers throughout the bid process
- Manage timelines and deliverables from initial estimate to final award
Qualifications:
- Proven experience estimating signage projects (ADA, architectural, commercial signage)
- Familiarity with architectural and construction documentation
- Strong knowledge of signage, materials, production methods, and installation processes
- Experience with construction bidding platforms and sign industry software a plus
- Previous work with sign companies, architects, or commercial contractors is preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Requirements:
- Must be based in Southern California (for occasional site visits and meetings)
- Own computer, estimating software, and reliable internet connection
- Reliable transportation for any required in-person coordination
